Reagan had an appointment at the Oncology clinic in Chapel Hill for her monthly chemo treatment. She receives a chemo pill every night, but we still have to go into clinic for more treatments and blood work. This visit was especially stressful for Reagan because she knew they were doing a spinal tap. She was put to sleep for the spinal but she hates it so much. During the procedure the doctor takes out a little spinal fluid to check and replaces it with a different chemo. In addition to the spinal tap, they gave her another chemo in her port or central line. There was a time that this particular chemo made her head and legs really hurt, but she seems to tolerate it much better now. Her blood counts are looking much better and we are hopeful that they will continue to climb.
Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers.

Update on Reagan 5/5/08:
Reagan was invited to Alexander Wilson Elementary School last Friday to participate in the Kids Fighting Cancer Walk or KFC. These students are raising money for the next 2 weeks to help cancer patients. Our special friends Mason, Madison and Melanie were there to walk with Gee and Reagan. Mason, a student at Alexander Wilson, decided to walk in Reagan's honor this year- wearing a t-shirt with her picture. It's such an honor to have these kids do something so special for Reagan.
Reagan had a chance to meet some of the kids from K-2 and 3-5, she had such a wonderful time. I hope that Reagan's presents will help motivate these kids to raise lots of money now and in the future to help end all childhood cancers.
Tomorrow I will be picking up the posters for Reagan's Money Jars; They will be placed in Burlington and Graham - will post the locations as soon as they are placed and accounted for. Thank you, Sylvia 'Tip' Allison Updates soon with more photos.

Reagan's favorite is Belle
Welcome Back Reagan -

She looks tuckered out from her trip
Oh the tales she has stored in her mind
Smiles from families for the love of this child
Feelings of love so divined.

She's spreading the love all around
Being missed, how much she'll never know
Now she is back in our territory -
Oh what a hug - she was missed so!
That cute little face, eyes that smile
To us all she can bring such joy
Showing her all the love to share
No one could ever destroy.
And this is Gee (Vanessa), Reagan's grandmother - It was lovely and warm in Florida no doubt and the evening they arrived at the Greensboro Airport - it was pretty darn cold! Oh my where is your coat? Or was you that excited to get back? Hehehe!

Reagan with her mommy, Wendy - this has really been exciting for such a small child to go through - yet Reagan is the most amazing kid I've seen!

Hey Tip,
Sun, 6 Apr 2008 9:29 pm
Hi Tip,
I wanted to let you all know we had a wonderful trip. Give Kids The World is awesome. They treat everybody like royalty. We took Reagan to the Magic Kingdom on Monday. Tuesday we took her to Sea World and Thursday we took her to Kennedy Space Center. She loved Magic Kingdom the best. (of course) On Wednesday we hung around the village, ate, played games, rode horses, ate, played some more, had ice cream, ate some more and had some down time. Friday being our last day we stayed at the village, went swimming, rode horses again, played, ate, etc. and Friday night went to the Princesses and Pirates party. Shamu and his princess girlfriend was there. Reagan danced with them and we had pictures. Reagan and the other kids had to get their makeup and be crowned. They all were beautiful.
Every morning we would get up and get ready for breakfast. When we got back home the village angels would have a special surprise on our kitchen table for Reagan. She got stuffed animals, coloring books, DVDs, duffel bag, pens and paper, hand held game, Candy Land game, you name it she got it. These people are great to these kids.
Reagan met, got autographs, and pictures with, Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, Mary Poppins, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Belle, Shamu, Barney, Baby Bop, B.J., Santa Claus, Mayor Clayton (the GKTW Villa Mayor) and his bride Miss Merry. I'm sure I left someone out and will update you if I remember.
Thank you again for all the prayers, messages and donations. All of them help us so much.
God Bless,
Vanessa Gee

I forgot to tell you. Our luggage is lost so when and if we get them we'll send you some pictures.
We are so upset. All of her prizes and everything is in there.
God Bless,
Vanessa

~CLICK ON LOGO AND VISIT WHERE REAGAN IS STAYING~
Saturday, March 29,2008 - As I watched two of my granddaughters this morning giggling and playing with their Pet Shop animals, my mind drifted away in thoughts of Reagan. “Who is Reagan”, you ask? Well she is a bright and chipper little three year old who has melted so many hearts at this young age! We cry, we pray for Reagan and so many other children who have been stricken in their young lives with a traumatic disease. A disease that keeps you on pins and needles all throughout testing, doctor visits, and hospital stays. As our hearts break for Reagan, I am reminded of a verse in the Bible, “Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them; for the Lord thy God, he that doeth with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.” (Deut. 31:6). Reagan shows us all that courage and strength everyday – she shows us how brave she is with that cute smile. God bless you Reagan, I hope and pray daily that your journey with this disease will be a short one and there will be a cure for you and others alike. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ YOU'LL NEVER WALK ALONE - ELVIS
